ETEA ENGINEERING
To secure admission in public sector Engineering Colleges of KPK, the students have to undergo ETEA entrance test. Conducted by Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency. The test is ground on the courses of FSc and A levels including the subjects: Physics, Chemistry/ Computer Science, Mathematics and English.

Selection Criteria
Students are selected for admission to LUMS Undergraduate Programs based on the following factors:
- Academic Background
- Performance in the Admission Test
- Completed and submitted application form and supporting documents by the stipulated deadline
- Application Review
- Interview (if called)
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants with Incomplete Higher-Secondary Degree
Successful completion of Matric with at least 70% marks or above and FSc (Part-1)/ICS (Part-1) with 70% marks or above;
O Levels results (in at least 8 subjects) with an average grade of at least ‘B’ in all subjects attempted;
American High School Diploma (HSD) (first year) with 70% or above/Grade Point Average of B or above;
International Baccalaureate (IB) (first year) at least 28 out of 45 points;
Combination of the above;
Any other equivalent qualification (minimum acceptable scores will be determined by the Admissions Committee)
If shortlisted for admission, applicants will be given a conditional offer. To join LUMS in Fall 2022, applicants must subsequently meet all the stipulated conditions specified by the Admissions Committee by August 2022.
Note: Applicants who were unable to take their FA/FSc. /ICS/ICOM – First-year exams of 2021 are eligible to apply if they have successfully completed their Matric with 70% or above marks. They need to select the option given in the Application form to inform us about the unavailability of their First-year marks.
Applicants with complete Higher-Secondary Degree
Applicants with complete ICS/FSc/A Level/High School Diploma or International Baccalaureate (IB) qualification are eligible to apply for admission if they fulfil one of the following criteria:
Successful completion of Matric with 70% marks or above and FSc/ ICS with 70% marks or above;
O Levels results (in at least 8 subjects) with an average grade of at least ‘B’ in all subjects attempted
and
A Level (in at least three full credit A Level subjects) with an average of 2Bs & 1C grade across best three subjects. The three best subjects cannot include any Advanced Subsidiary subjects, the A Level General Paper, or an A Level grade less than an E.
The full credit A Level subjects for SBASSE are Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Computer Science, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. (Any deviations from this list will be examined on a case to case basis and the decision of the Admissions Committee will be final.);
American High School Diploma (HSD) with 70% or above/Grade Point Average of B or above;
International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 28 out of 45 points;
International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme
Combination of the above;
Any other equivalent qualification (minimum acceptable scores will be determined by the Admissions Committee).

Such applicants planning to improve their grades/marks by taking June 2022 exams are not eligible for the Fall 2022 session.
Candidates who have registered or taken the exam of minimum three full credit A Level subjects and do not meet the minimum grades requirement (specified above) must improve their grades in order to be eligible for admission. To be eligible for admission in 2022, applicants must improve their A Level grades in October/November 2021. Such applicants planning to improve their grades by taking June 2022 exams are not eligible for the Fall 2022 session.
ADMISSION TEST
All applicants applying to the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE) undergraduate programmes are required to take the following two admission tests in order to be considered for Fall 2022 admission:
- SAT; OR
- ACT; OR
- LUMS Common Admission Test (LCAT);
And LUMS SBASSE Scientific Aptitude Test or SAT II Subject Test (in at least 3 of the 4 SAT subject tests) listed below: Biology-M Chemistry Mathematics II-C Physics.

MDCAT
The MDCAT (Medical & Dental College Admission Test) is an exam based on MCQ’s, an essential requirement to be met by pre-medical students in order to seek admission in medical and dental colleges.
Introduction
The MDCAT standardized test is designed to assess your command over basic concepts of Science (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English), critical thinking and problem solving skills. MDCAT preparatory course trains the mind to make educated guesses and to maximize chances to pick correct answers. PMC (Pakistan Medical Council) is responsible for organizing the MDCAT for all the public sector medical colleges.

NTS (National Testing Service)
National Aptitude Test (NAT) is for admissions in NTS associated universities/ DIAs (Degree Awarding Institutes). The candidates may appear in a single test to apply for all universities accepting NTS Exam. The candidates shall be required to apply for admission in the universities as per their respective announcements along with a copy of the NTS result card.
* The result of the NAT™ test will be valid for “ONE YEAR”.

NUST
Candidates can appear in entry test more than once with the best score considered for the admission. However, in any one series only one attempt is allowed for a particular discipline.
NET is compiled from text books prescribed for HSSC courses. Candidates preparing for NET are advised to consult all relevant text books of various boards of education.
NET is conducted at three locations, that is Islamabad (NUST Campus), Karachi and Quetta. At Islamabad the Test is conducted in computer-based format. In Karachi and Quetta, it is in paper-based format conducted in April & July.

For all programs less B Architecture and Industrial Design, there are 200 MCQs to be attempted in three hours.
For B Architecture and Industrial Design there are two portions of the test to be attempted in four hours:-
- MCQ based test of 120 questions to be attempted in two hours.
- Cognitive and aptitude test having 40% weightage designed to test the drawing, creativity and imaginative skills of the candidate to be attempted in remaining two hours.

Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in SSC and HSSC OR equivalent exams (as per IBCC equivalence).
- Candidates of FA/ F.Sc. stream can apply for NET on the basis of FA/F.Sc. Part-I but confirmation of admission is subject to provision of FA/ F.Sc. certificate or Detailed Marks Certificate.
- All non F.Sc. stream candidates must have equivalence certificate of their qualification, duly obtained from IBCC, Pakistan in relevant groups/subjects and with minimum 60% marks.
- Candidates of O/A Level or any other foreign equivalent qualification can apply on the basis of O Level (SSC) equivalence certificate obtained from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) office but confirmation of their admission is subject to provision of A Level (HSSC) equivalence certificate duly obtained from IBCC, Pakistan.
- Merit for BS Applied Biosciences programme will be based on complete F.Sc. / A Level or equivalent qualification (as per IBCC Equivalence Certificate) result.
SAT-I
SAT-I is standardized test by the College Board which is required by the universities for admission in undergraduate programs in International and national universities.
The SAT is the nation’s most widely used college admissions test. In Pakistan several universities required SAT-I for admission in Business and Humanities programs which include: LUMS, IBA Karachi, Lahore School of Economics, FAST, NUST etc.
