Grab the Opportunity and Take the STEP by PGC's Standardized Tests for Self-Assessment

Are you wondering if you are well prepared for the entrance exams, i.e., MDCAT or ECAT, this year? Don’t worry; STEP by PGC has the best solution for this question. STEP is arranging a Self-Assessment Test or SSAT that comprises two standardized tests MDCAT and ECAT for self-evaluation.

SSAT is being held on March 19, 2023. You can register yourself in this standardized assessment and analyze your overall preparation before appearing in the final entrance exams. However, there are so many other benefits of taking the SSAT 2023. Let’s look at them in detail.

1. Career Assessment

These self-assessments standardized tests are a great way to analyze your career path. Both fields, i.e., Medicine and engineering, are quite difficult. Not everyone can pursue a career in these domains. So, taking the SSAT will help you realize whether you want a career in these areas or not as MDCAT or ECAT is just the first step towards it.

2. Entrance Exams Patterns and Mechanisms

STEP by PGC provides students with this standard testing service to assist them in reducing their stress. This is very beneficial for both fresher and repeater students. How?

  • The fresher students will understand how the exam paper will be set. In addition, they will get an idea about the final exam, the difficulty level, the kind of questions, and how to divide the time to complete the paper.
  • The repeater students will be able to assess themselves and their improvement by taking these self-evaluating standardized tests.

Thus, SSAT is will help you know about the paper pattern and mechanism.

3. Self-Evaluation of Entry Test Preparation

These standardized tests are mainly for self-evaluation purposes. When you take the SSAT 2023, you will know which areas need special attention. Furthermore, you will know on which topics you have a strong grip. Similarly, you can analyze your overall preparation and ultimately perform well in the final exam.

4. Scholarship

STEP by PGC also offers free education to all hardworking and competent students. However, the scholarship criteria are as follows:

1. 100% Scholarship

If you pass the SSAT 2023 and get in the top 3,000 scorers of the test, you will receive a 100% scholarship. That means you will not have to pay a single penny while studying at STEP for entry test preparation.

2. 25% Scholarship

All non-Punjabian and non-Hadaf students will receive a 25% scholarship when they pass the SSAT with 80% scores.

3. 15% Scholarship

STEP by PGC will award all the non-Hadaf and non-Punjabian students a 15% scholarship upon passing the SSAT.

So, take the SSAT and pass the standardized tests to get a scholarship in your preparatory entry test preparation.

5. Free of Cost

STEP self-assessment test is free of cost. You do not have to pay a huge fee to register and take this self-evaluation test. You can register for free and analyze your entry test preparation.

6. An Opportunity for All Students

These standardized tests are open to all students. That means that whether you are from PGC or Hadaf colleges, you can appear in this test. However, if you are from Punjab, Federal, and KPK regions, you will have to take the physical test conducted in different centers all over Pakistan.

7. Online Test Availability

There is also an option of taking the test online. However, you should be a resident of either Gilgit Baltistan, Sindh, or Baluchistan. So, if you are from these regions, you can avail yourself of the opportunity of an online test.

Marks and Duration of Self-Evaluation Standardized Tests

These standardized tests are based on exactly the entry test pattern. So, the duration and marks division is just like the MDCAT or ECAT.

1. Medical Students

  • The SSAT for medical students will be of 100 minutes or 1 hour 40 minutes.
  • There will be no negative marking just like the final MDCAT.
  • One mark will be given to you for marking each correct answer.

2. Engineering Students

  • The duration of the students of engineering SSAT will be 100 minutes or 1 hour and 40 minutes.
  • Negative marking criteria will be applied.
  • You will get 4 marks for marking the correct answer.
  • On marking each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.
  • No marks will be deducted from the total scores if you leave the question without attempting it.
